My advice: bring it back, get your money back, add a bit more and purchase a proper wheel. Have tried almost everything, and still no success Setting ok, but when in game, all not working, steering become very loose too. I just purchased G29 and have the same problem like you. The problem is that in settings the game lights up each button I press (except the D-PAD) but when I start a race suddenly nothing is detected anymore.
I'm having some trouble setting my G29 wheel up with Asseto Corsa. I'm really upset with win10 for that cause I can't find a fix. when it's connected with BT music is grand HOWEVER, on discord and TS3 sound quality is absolutely terrible and my friends say Isound like I'm in a warzone or something. Talking about buggy win 10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with drivers, With Asseto Corsa it seems to be only detected in the options and not when I want to drive a car. It takes a while to get rid of the 10 degree difference in the steering but it's detected in both racing and the menu. The wheel works "fine" in Project Cars 2. It is reserved for on-track menu-items like the pit-menu. Other than that I believe the directional pad not to be free to re-assign in-game.
LOGITECH G29 ASSETTO CORSA PC UPDATE
Logitech's device-drivers have a history of being wiped / overwritten by a forced/proposed update that turned out faulty. Always happy when stuff works though please make sure when on Win 10 that you don't get hit by Windows update messing with your drivers.
