One of them is also on his third bladder the other is on his second. I was so enamored by this pack the first couple of days I had it that I recommended it to two of my buddies. Stitching through the bladder is a bad idea from the start and the fact that I'm on my 3rd bladder in as many months validates that.

However, there is a VERY SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW with the hydration bladder! These bladders do not hold up and leak through the stitching that attaches the bladder to its plastic support framework. Main compartment has space for a mid layer jacket, tools, pump, really has some decent space for the size pack. I like the zippered compartment below the main compartment for easy quick access to snacks or first aid. My friend actually ran back down the trail and that really sold her on the pack. We just did a overnight trek to Half Dome and a friend used this pack while I used the Manta 25. Three liters of water and stretch pockets on the side for added fluids if needed. A few extra pieces of clothing.Bike tubes whatever. It's a perfect all around pack for short hikes and biking treks. The perfect companion for your next hut-to-hut, the Manta 34 is a premium hike hydration pack youd be remiss to leave. I have the m/l and the fit is great for me.
